35kV及以上的变压器端部电场畸变、集中区域，常使用成型绝缘件；成型绝缘件起保护、缓和电场集中、机械支持多重作用；可以有效的缩小端部的绝缘距离，更好的保障端部绝缘强度，所以应用十分广泛。

成型绝缘件主要依靠模拟端部电场的畸变弧度，尽量按等电位线延展；以起到有效的油隙分割和防沿面闪络。
